Claim documentation information
* Immediately report to your agent/insurer/broker
* Obtain a police abstract
* Fill in a claim form
* Pass the copy of the driving license, claim form and the police abstract to your insurer.
* Take the truck to your preferred truck repairer.
* The insurer will send the assessor to the repairer’s workshop.
* The assessor will forward his report to the insurer who shall authorize repairs to commence.
* The repairer shall carry out the repairs as per the authority given by the insurer.
* When the truck is written off (Not repairable) the insurer will tow the truck to their yard and you shall be required to pay the towing charges to the repairer (where applicable) and issued with a receipt which you may use to claim for a refund from your insurer.
* Where the truck is repairable, make a follow up on the repairs. Our clients will be given a token / job card number which they can use to log on to our website and view the progress report of their trucks. They are also welcome to our workshop
* To facilitate easy and fast release of your truck after the repairs, ensure that you pay the excess early in advance. We also advise our clients to insure the policy excess (which is usually a percentage of the sum insured and is spelt out on the policy document). Your insurer will then issue you with a release letter which the repairer will require before releasing the truck.
